The Extron MLC 62 RS CC is a MediaLink® controller housed in a versatile mounting bracket designed to integrate into Cable Cubby® cable access enclosures. This easy-to-use keypad controller provides popular AV control functions, including power, input switching, and volume. It has eight backlit soft touch buttons and features a variety of ports, including RS-232 serial and IR ports for universal display control, two relays for control of lighting, screen settings, and other device functions, and a digital input. A convenient split-ring hole pass through plate provides access to cables from the Cable Cubby cable access enclosure.

Features

  • Designed to mount in most Cable Cubby® cable access enclosures — Provides easy access to room control functions or stays concealed when not in use.
  • Customizable backlit buttons — Standard buttons available for power on, power off, volume up, volume down, and source selection. A variety of pre-labeled buttons are included, allowing the controller to be easily customized to suit the application. Backlit buttons provide ease of use in low-light environments.
  • Two-space MAAP opening for cable pass-through or AV connectivity — Provides convenient access for room connectivity
  • Convenient three split-ring hole pass through plate — Two 3/8” holes and one ¼” hole provide access to cables.
  • Unidirectional RS-232 and configurable IR ports for universal display control — The MLC 62 RS CC has a dedicated port for communicating with virtually any projector or flat panel display via unidirectional RS-232 or IR control. Display control drivers can be downloaded from the Extron Web site and used to configure the controller.
  • Two relays — Enable control of lighting, screen settings, and other device functions.
  • Digital input — Allows for a connection with a variety of devices, such as sensors, switches, and relays.
  • Easy-to-use configuration software provides fast and easy setup
  • Thousands of Extron certified, ready-to-use device drivers
  • IR learning capability — The MLC 60 Series Configuration Program is able to capture IR codes from a device’s handheld remote control.
  • Volume adjustment buttons with LED level indication — Individual up and down buttons for audio level control with five LEDs that indicate current audio settings.
  • Pre-printed buttons included for controller customization — Buttons printed with various labels are supplied and can be changed individually to match the control application.
  • Macro capability — Any button can be configured to execute multiple actions through the serial and IR control ports. For instance, the touch of a single button could trigger commands to turn on the display, select the display's RGB input, and trigger a relay.
  • Toggle mode — Provides additional flexibility by allowing two different sets of commands to be executed with alternating presses of a button.
  • Source buttons offer a choice between a single or dual function setup by simply swapping out the bezel and buttons — In applications where only a single function is necessary for one source device, a dual function bezel and button can be replaced with a single function bezel and button.
  • Built-in speaker — Provides audible feedback when buttons are pressed to confirm user action.
  • Inactivity timer for display shutoff — Adjustable timer controls automatic shutdown to conserve energy, prevent plasma burn-in, or extend projector's lamp life.
  • Front panel security lockout — If the MLC 62 RS CC is installed in an unsecured environment where easy access is not desirable, a security lockout feature may be implemented to lock out all front panel controls.
  • Activity LED to indicate various controller states — Bi-color, green and red LED indicates button presses, the transfer of data, front panel lockout, and other actions.
  • Mini USB configuration port — Provides configuration interface through a laptop or PC.
  • Pluggable captive screw connector — Provides quick and easy connection to the controller for easy installation and troubleshooting.
