The Extron Retractor Series XL is a patented, variable-speed cable retraction and management system that works with AVEdge™ 100, Cable Cubby^® Series, and select TouchLink^® enclosures as well as the TMK 120 R table mount kit. Retractor XL modules support most AV and data signal types, including HDMI, DisplayPort, Network, USB, and USB‑C^®. Cables extend up to 5' feet (152 cm) and are held securely in place at the desired length. Cables retract at the press of a button, with integrator-adjustable retraction speed control for smooth operation in both horizontal and vertical mounting. Extron Retractor Series modules are also available for applications where cable extension of three feet (90 cm) is appropriate.

Extron offers the industry’s widest selection of USB‑C Retractor modules. The Retractor XL USB‑C Power module features USB‑C to USB‑C delivery of up to 100 watts of power to peripheral devices, as well as select laptops. For USB‑C sources that support DisplayPort Alt Mode, the Retractor XL USB‑C ‑ HDMI module provides connection to HDMI displays and peripheral devices. The Extron Retractor XL USB‑C ‑ DisplayPort module provides connectivity between USB‑C sources that support DisplayPort Alt Mode and a DisplayPort device. The Retractor XL USB‑C ‑ HDMI and Retractor XL USB‑C ‑ DisplayPort modules support resolutions up to 4K/30 and pass EDID, HDCP, and audio information between source and display.

The Retractor XL USB-C Pro and Retractor XL USB-C Pro 8K modules provide connectivity between USB‑C sources that support resolutions up to 8K/30. Data rates up to 5 Gbps. EDID, HDCP, and audio information also pass between the devices. They deliver up to 60 watts of power for charging. The Retractor XL USB‑C Pro 8K is compatible with the USB‑C HD 101 interface.

Extron Retractor XL modules are engineered for long life and reliability. They are tested to exceed 7,500 cable extension and retraction cycles. The robust mechanism is designed to withstand frequent use in schools, libraries, conference rooms, and other high-utilization environments. Each module includes a pre-loaded, continuous 12‑foot (3.6 m) cable for a single signal type, ensuring consistent, reliable performance regardless of cable extension length. A four‑foot (1.2 m) pigtail is provided on the system end of the module for ease of installation and connection to under-table AV system hardware or floor boxes.

Retractor XL modules can be mounted vertically for ease of installation next to a table leg or desktop support. For horizontal mounting applications such as under a table top or other flat surface, an optional mounting bracket is available. Each horizontal bracket holds up to three Retractor modules. For semi-permanent applications, AVEdge 100 enclosures also accommodate up to three Retractor cable retraction modules. The mounting bracket is included. Cable Cubby Series and select TouchLink enclosures support from three to nine Retractor modules, depending on the size of the enclosure. Optional mounting brackets may be required.

The Retractor Filler Module is available to fill unused spaces in Retractor mounts. This Filler Module includes a Blank Cover Plate as well as a Cable Pass‑through Plate that accommodates stereo audio, network, or other cables. The Extron TMK 120 R Table Mount Kit for under-table mount installations is also available for installations where cutting a tabletop surface is not desirable.
