The Extron XPA U 4004 FX is a professional-grade, ENERGY STAR® certified four‑channel power amplifier, delivering 400 W RMS per channel into 8 Ω, 4 Ω, 70 V, or 100 V loads. Each channel’s output mode is independently selectable via rear rotary switches, enabling flexible multi-zone or hybrid system configurations where low‑impedance and distributed‑line speakers coexist.
Advanced ECO Standby technology works in tandem with InstaWake+™, allowing the amplifier to automatically enter low-power standby when idle (≤ 1 W), yet resume full operation in under 5 milliseconds when a signal is detected—ensuring announcements or music start cleanly with no clipping.
The amp uses pair-based flexible power sharing: each adjacent channel pair can combine output (up to 800 W on one channel) depending on system demand, for optimal power allocation.
The unit is rack-mountable (1U full rack width) and features front-to-rear cooling with long‑life variable-speed fans, plus washable filters—allowing stack installation without empty space.
